WHY GUIDED BIOFILM THERAPY?

GUIDED BIOFILM THERAPY (GBT)

Based on the available evidence, GBT is an effective way to remove biofilm, plaque and stain from your teeth.

THE PROCESS

TEETH WHITENING

Assess: Create a personalized treatment plan.

Disclose: A disclosing solution is applied to the teeth, staining bacterial biofilm making it a visible guide for the hygienist and patient to see where the plaque is accumulating.

Airflow®: Using a combination of warm water, air, and erythritol powder to safely remove biofilm, bacteria, stain and plaque from hard and soft surfaces in the mouth.

Piezon®: Next, we use an ultrasonic instrument with warm water to remove hard deposits from above and below the gum line.

Refining: In some cases, traditional dental instruments may be used to remove any remaining hard deposits.

Evaluation: Ensure all biofilm and deposits have been entirely removed.

After GBT, you have the option of a fluoride treatment.

Many patients notice 1-2 shades brighter after each treatment as GBT effectively removes stain from the teeth.
